CAR RENTAL Business Traveler readers also know how they want to get around on the ground. 87 percent of our readers have rented a car in the past year, and 91 percent chose their own car rental company. From that experience, BT readers selected Hertz as "Best Car Rental Company in North America." Hertz, ever the leader, recently announced that SIRIUS satellite radio, available in thousands of vehicles rented at 58 airport locations in the U.S., also will be offered in a range of vehicles at airport rental locations in Vancouver, Toronto and Montréal. More Canadian locations will be added in 2007.
CREDIT CARDS Then, there's paying for all that traveling. Our readers gave top honors to American Express for "Best Credit Card for Business Travelers" and "Best Credit Card Rewards Program." New in November from AmEx is First Collection, a set of premium partners and offers exclusively available to American Express Platinum Card and Centurion Card members through the Membership Rewards program. The Membership Rewards program has more than 140 redemption partners. The program allows cardmembers to earn one point for virtually every dollar charged on eligible, enrolled American Express Cards. Points have no expiration date, and there is no limit on the number of points a cardmember can earn.
LUGGAGE What about baggage, check-through and carryon? Travelpro wins top honors as "Best Overall Luggage for Business Travelers" while Tumi captures "Best Carry-On Luggage for Business Travelers." Travelpro, "designed by pilots and flight-crew-tested," wins top marks for its lightweight durability. Its new "No-Tip Foot" is designed to prevent capsizing when expandable luggage falls forward because it's fully expanded and packed out.Tumi's collection of carry-ons includes elegant duffels made of Napa leather.
COURIER SERVICES To make sure everything they need is there when they arrive, Business Traveler readers often ship ahead. DHL took top place as "Best International Courier Service." Offering express shipping and logistics worldwide, DHL recently expanded coverage of its pre-12 noon express service in Europe. Beginning in November, TimeDefinite deliveries are available to 27 European countries.
